Application Form Details

The application form involves seven steps


1. Each applicant must visit Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum at least once.

2. Personal Information
You will be asked to provide biographical information, contact information for a parent/guardian, and information about your high school or your college/university.

3. Educational Information
You will be asked to provide information that will help the Scholars Program assess the level of your educational achievement. You will need to submit your cumulative grade point average, your class rank, your PSAT/SAT/ACT/TOEFL/GRE score, and the scores you received on any AP Tests that you have taken. In addition, you will be asked to upload in PDF format your most current high school/college/university transcript. Note: the version you upload may be a copy. If you are named a finalist, your school will be asked to provide the Scholars Program with an official, sealed, version of your transcript.

4. Two Essays
You will be asked to write and submit two essays. The first essay has a 600-word limit and the second essay has an 800-word limit. These essays must be your original work.

5. Resume
You will be asked to upload a resume that gives details, if applicable, about any jobs you have held, community service involvement, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, special interests/hobbies, and any awards or honors you have received. This resume must use a minimum of a 12-point font size and must not exceed two pages in length (standard 8.5" x 11" letter-sized paper).

6. Two Letters of Recommendation
You application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation. One letter must come from a teacher, current or former, and the other letter must come from a member of your community who knows you well. The application contains details for you to share with your recommenders.

7. Completed Application
The final step asks you to certify that your application is your own work and that you meet eligibility guideline to apply for the Scholarship.
